Stay or Go Blender

Return to Product Reviews

Not everyone will invest in personal training sessions once a gym membership is purchased. And for those facilities that specialize in private 1-2-1 instruction, there remains several methods in which to earn extra income. Typically, sun tanning and the sale of nutrition supplements are promoted - two fine ideas without question. Another idea sometimes considered is to open a snack and juice bar. What is needed is a wet bar, which is nothing more than a countertop with a built-in sink for washing a few utensils and a blender. Disposable cups should used to save time in washing, as well as small dixie cups to provide taste samples to get your customers hooked.

The first decision will be what to offer as a drink, and this can vary, including protein shakes, smoothies and post-recover drinks, any of which are ideal for on-the-spot sales after a grueling workout. What these drinks consist of can vary, but they need to taste pleasant, and adding strawberries, melon, oranges, bananas and other fruit will go a long way. A scoop of frozen yogurt, a bit of fruit juice or distilled water, and your favorite protein or post-workout recovery powder tops of the "prescription."

The second decision will be the purchase of a blender. We recommend the Stay or Go (tm) 16-speed blender by Hamilton Beach, the number one brand in blenders. This powerful 450 watt blender has stainless steel Ice Sabre (tm) blades for perfect frozen drinks, a SureLoc (tm) safety base, and a large 48-ounce glass jar. There also is a large flat jar base to help prevent tipping over, as well as an improved pouring design to eliminate mess. Although ideal for fitness facilities, this blender also is ideal for fitness enthusiasts who make their own health drinks at home. The system includes a specially designed travel cup that keeps contents cold for much longer since the heat of one's hand does not penetrate the contents so easily. The design of this cup allows a shake to be blended directly in the implement so that the large 48-ounce jar does not have to be used. The cup also is of an ideal shape and dimension to fit most car cup holders so that you can enjoy a "cold one" on the way to work. The Stay or Go (tm) blender can be purchased at any fine retail store or outlet.
