BSDI offers a wealth of valuable
fitness software. There is so much to cover that we will only
touch upon some of the features offered in three software packages.
We recommend you visit BSDI's site and request an information
package and demo disk, at http://BSDI.cc
for further details.
Fitness Analyst is their most popular program and well
worth the investment. It offers medical screening and a comprehensive
fitness assessment with over 120 tests, such as skinfold pinch
bodyfat, cycle ergometry, treadmill tests, pulmonary tests, and
a wide variety of strength and endurance tests. Best of all,
the software allows you to devise and record your own custom
tests. Another feature is the exercise programming with Intelli-Max
workout template technology that allows you to create custom
workouts in seconds while supporting complex set patterns, specification
of lift tempos and inter-set rest. Periodized templates also
can be devised. Further, you can take digital photos of the exercise
equipment to be used and integrated into the workout sheets for
printing. Also available: goals counseling, reporting and charting,
weight and energy consumption tracking, blood pressure logging,
blood chemistry, before/after photography, and unlimited user-defined
fields that permit you to collect data your way.
Motivation is a software program that allows clients
or gym participants to log on at your facility or even at home
(via the internet) to input workouts, weight and blood pressure,
complete health risk assessment questionnaires, and participate
in an incentive (point earning) program, or simply to learn more
about health and fitness. In effect, Motivation is a complete
system for communicating with and managing wellness for your
clients.
Check-In supports client log-in with support for scancards
(BSDI offers laser scanners), waiting messages, picture ID, and
a "membership expired" notice with optional alarm.
This program also features a broad range of attendance management
reports on gross attendance, attendance by group, attendance
by new vs. established members and more. You can even track the
popularity of equipment, classes, special events, and clients
can choose what classes to attend upon checking in! Most important
you can track who is not attending to discover who may quit your
services in the near future, and even check-in on a client's
personal goals, exercise interests, and emergency care contact
information.
