Origins
is a unique and much needed perspective on how exercise fits
into the grand scheme of things... of how it relates to the concept
of science in general and to various sciences in specific.
"I have completed reading
Origins, and I was amazed. I could not put it down... I read
it in two days. The most thought provoking material I have ever
read. The layout of the material was excellent; you properly
prepare the reader with the tools to be an objective and critical
thinker." Stephen Downes
Exercise
Science Does Not Exist Within a Vacuum
The Universe is all that which exists,
and it is becoming common knowledge that each science has a relationship
or bearing on all other sciences. For example, in order to study
chemistry, a person would also need to learn some aspects of
biology and physics, and in order to learn physics, a person
would need to have comprehension of basic math and numbers. All
of these sciences are governed by philosophy, since basic Laws
of Reality and logic help guide the objective study of any
scientific study. Unfortunately, exercise often is viewed in
isolation without consideration for the 'big picture.'
The
Corruption of Exercise Science
Mathematics and physics are considered
two of the most stringent sciences, and yet there are conflicts
and corruption in these fields of research that would surprise
most lay people. Consequently, the balderdash that we see in
exercise often goes unnoticed, and likely because it is such
a new science, with much yet to be explored. And if you think
this is an exaggeration, consider the 27-page treatise in Origins
that deals with the corruption of the new physics, whereby the
author challenges many of the notions of quantum physics that
defy simple common sense and human perception. And if such nonsense
exists in such a highly regarded field of study, what horrors
await us in exercise science?
