Arthur Jones Passes Away
It is regretful to report, for those who may not know, that Arthur
Jones passed away on August 28, 2007. A ceremony is to take place
(tentatively) on September 29th at Jumbolair, Florida. Interested
parties should contact David Landau at Exarchives@aol.com
for any updates. If looking for a souvenir, we have 140 copies
left of the Arthur Jones Collection and only a few commemorative
banners left. Sales go to keeping www.ArthurJonesExercise.com up and running.
Also available: as a free gift for those who buy The Fitness Science Library set is a
76-minute audio CD seminar of Arthur Jones, recorded in October
1979 at Westpoint, entitled The Future of Exercise. Still
available is a rare, never-before-published 100 page article
by Arthur Jones, written before Nautilus Bulletin #1, in our
Synergy 2007 publication.
The Making of a Champion (book &
DVD set)
Well, we tried... but Terry Witzu won the Silver medal a third
year running. Canada's oldest competitive boxer may not have
won the World Championships heavyweight crown, but he came very
close. He was considered the hardest hitter in the master's category
and put his main competitor in trouble twice. For details on
his training, visit http://www.iartonline.ca/books/Library/MakeChamp.html
(NOTE: This case study and DVD set is part of the hardcover Fitness
Science Library, and so there is no need to re-purchase;
the DVD is not part of the CD version of the Fitness Science
Library).
