I.A.R.T. Books via Email
As many of you know, we are phasing out the individual copies
of our materials, since they have been integrated into our Fitness
Science Library: http://www.iartonline.ca/books/FitnessLibrary/Fitness.html
. A few copies are available of some volumes, but once sold out,
that will be it (special orders will be accepted, but the cost
will be 25% higher than the original book price). However, all
books will be available as PDF files on CD, and most will be
available as a PDF file that we can email to you directly (your
email service must be able to accept the required file sizes!),
thus saving you money and time on mailing costs. When you visit
each link for each book (http://www.iartonline.ca/books/FitnessLibrary/Fitness.html),
you will see if there are hardcover copies available, how many
are in stock, and whether the book is available via email or
just on CD (because of a book's PDF size or an accompanying DVD,
it may be available on CD only).
The Making of a Champion (book &
DVD set)
Since Fall of 2006, I have been the strength training coach for
Terry Witzu, Canada's oldest competitive boxer (age 57) who competes
at the Master's level (35+) and who won the silver medal at the
World Amateur Boxing Championships two years running. He's had
enough and he wants the heavyweight championship belt! Terry
competes on August 4th, 2007 in Kansas City and his boxing power
has increased so significantly that he cannot find local sparring
partners who will take him on, and his international level coach
(and former heavyweight boxer) has difficulty working pads with
him. This is no exaggeration, since the fitness world is filled
with BS. In fact, Terry can generate over 300 pounds of punching
force on a force gauge pad. My work with Terry is being developed
into a case study book and DVD set, available for $49.95 Canadian
plus shipping, limited to 100 hardcover copies (CD + DVD versions
will be available once sold out). We go to print around the 7th
of August and I should have the book and DVD set available by
late August. By visiting this link, you can place an order at
any time, to reserve your copy: http://www.iartonline.ca/books/Library/MakeChamp.html
(NOTE: This case study and DVD set is part of the hardcover Fitness
Science Library, and so there is no need to re-purchase;
the DVD is not part of the CD version of the Fitness Science
Library; AND DON'T FORGET... YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL AUGUST 6
TO ORDER THE LIBRARY AT $100 OFF, FOR $395 PLUS SHIPPING!!!).

Synergy 2008
Next year's publication is being renamed Fitness Science Annual,
to coincide with the Fitness Science Library name. In
effect, everything we produced is in the library, and further
developments/expansions will be part of the Fitness Science
Annuals. The articles making up the annual will be available
FREE online. Those who want an 'advertisement free' hardcover
edition can place an order for such, but don't bother trying
to remember this... we will remind you when the time comes. Hardcover
editions will NOT be provided to contributors, to keep costs
to a minimum. On that note, if you wish to contribute to the
2008 Fitness Science Annual, please notify me before December
31st, 2007. Provide your article title idea(s) and a short 1-2
sentence description. We appreciate greatly all contributors
over the years, which helped to form our 5,000 pages, 9-volume
Fitness Science Library!
